Double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon

Rebecca K. Jacobson, MD, FAAD, FACMS is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. Dr. Jacobson practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, including Mohs surgery, surgical excisions, and advanced facial reconstruction. Dr. Jacobson treats both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Jacobson received the highest level of training as a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. She is board-certified in Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. She completed a highly competitive and well-regarded fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Geisinger Medical Center. Dr. Jacobson is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. She has published multiple journal articles and book chapters in the fields of general dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

  • Dr. Jacobson has also received numerous accolades for her academic excellence and patient care. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brown University and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society during medical school at the University of Massachusetts. As a dermatology resident at the University of Cincinnati, she received the Mutasim Humanitarian Award in recognition of her compassion, respect and ethical behavior when treating patients and their families. She was also awarded the American Academy of Dermatology's Resident International Grant and served as a dermatologist in Gaborone, Botswana, in her final year of training.

    Dr. Jacobson is a committed educator and considers herself a life-long teacher. She strives to help patients better understand their skin conditions.
