Late Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy
Effective January 8th, 2025
At Greater Boston Dermatology, we are committed to delivering high-quality care. Preparing for your appointment involves significant time and resources. Late cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals prevent us from helping other patients and impact our small practice's operations, especially with rising costs. Therefore, we have a strict policy regarding late cancellations and missed appointments.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Guidelines
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you cannot attend your appointment, please notify us within 24 business hours. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, it will be considered a late cancellation.
Fees for Missed Appointments or Late Cancellations
If you fail to cancel or reschedule within the required notice period, miss your appointment, or arrive more than 10 minutes late, the following fees will apply:
Missed Medical Appointment: $50
Missed Cosmetic, Surgical, or Mohs Appointment: $100
These fees are non-refundable and will be charged to your credit card on file within 48 hours. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in termination of care with Greater Boston Dermatology.
Deposits for Certain Cosmetic Procedures
Some cosmetic procedures require a deposit due to the longer time and preparation involved. To reschedule, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice. If you no-show, cancel late, or arrive more than 10 minutes late, your deposit will be forfeited.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy, which helps us provide timely and efficient care to all our patients.
